After a spaceship crashes into the planet Tonath, the lone occupant survives and fights his way to the sunlit part of the planet.

When a passing freighter finds him and takes him to the Western Starshift Institute of the Way, he finds the teacher. Tonath is a planet torn apart by the forces of nature, and only the teacher can predict the movement of the stars and interpret the prophecies.

But will the teacher be able to recognize true man and true foe in time to save Tonath from a thousand years of burning?

This story opens quite well with good amount of mystery, but not so much that the listener’s intrigue is left baffled. Progression in the story line is smoothly accomplished. The ending of the story is professionally done, with a seemingly ability to flow into a sequel, but can be left as a stand alone novel. The narration was accomplished in a professional style with excellent vocal pressure.
I would recommend this audiobook for ages 12 and older due to some tense social-political situations
I was given this audiobook for free and I freely give it my rating and opinion

Excellent Sci/Fi Adventure

I wasn't as captivated as I thought I'd be with this story. It had such a promising premise, but I couldn't connect with the characters, and the story felt staggered and jagged (best way I can describe it). I thought the narration was pretty good, but I couldn't find a way to stay intrigued enough to keep my mind from wandering a good bit. It's possible that a physical copy would force me to pay attention more, though.

I received this free audiobook copy in exchange for an honest review.

Interesting but fell flat

Good story with solid narration. This is a very character driven story with some social commentary. There are issues with race and religion on a planet that mirrors the old west. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one in the series!

This was awesome. I powered through this in like 2 days. It was so interesting and very different from anything I have read before. And I read a good amount of fantasy/ Science fiction type stuff. Also, I think the books next books in the series are going to be even better. The narrator also did an amazing job. He was a perfect fit for this book. I can't wait to listen to more from these guys!

Very Interesting... In a great way!
