Ensnared and framed, Thorn is on the run. But it’s not him who needs to be afraid....

Barely had Thorn entered the Tower to begin his climb when he finds himself running afoul of a merchant cartel and the floor’s Adventurer’s Guild. Now, adrift with a young woman and an old sailor and at the top of the guild’s wanted list, Thorn finds himself hemmed in on every side.

When a place to lay low turns into an encounter with pirates, a crazy plan begins to emerge. Why not take the fight directly to the enemy and beat them at their own game?

But to see it through, Thorn is going to need overwhelming force and lots of friends. Good thing he has both is spades.

Marauder is the eighth book in the Tower Series, a GameLit/LitRPG series from Seth Ring, bestselling author of Battle Mage Farmer and The Titan series, set in the world of Nova Terra and starring the unforgettable Thorn. If you like immersive storytelling, rich fantasy, and epic adventures with a slice of friendship thrown in, you’ll love this addictive series.

Good character balance.

This installment had some progression in the tower itself, but disappointingly, the main character didn’t show much personal growth. I like to see clear advancement for the protagonist in each book, and this fell short.

The story felt more like bookkeeping than an engaging progression. The band reunited, some new enemies appeared, but overall it was just… okay. Not terrible, but not memorable either.

Semi-spoiler but not really

Oh boy I just got to say that I would 100% be a villain or close to it the moment he appeared from that portal, he would have died instantly not just staring at him like he would just fall on your sword he would be done instantly.

Ok another great book but cliffhanger was a b**ch

The continued journey of Thorn and friends is great. I don't want the story to end.
