An Adepta Sororitas novel.

In the wake of the war for Ophelia VII, Battle-Sister Evangeline of the Order of Our Martyred Lady embarks on a crusade into the darkness that lies beyond the Great Rift, seeking vengeance and revelation, but surviving the journey will only be the first and most simple test of her faith.

Listen to It Because: Delve into Imperium Nihilus with a tale of faith and fury that looks at the nature of the Adepta Sororitas and their place in the new Dark Imperium.

The Story: With the birth of the Cicatrix Maledictum the Imperium of Mankind suffers as never before. Conflict and corruption is rife on every front and precious little hope remains, save for those who hold to their faith when faced with destruction....

Denied a martyr’s death during the battle for Ophelia VII, Sister Evangeline of the Order of Our Martyred Lady is blessed with a new and grave duty: to embark on a pilgrimage beyond the Great Rift to recover a precious and powerful artefact - the Shield of Saint Katherine. Accompanied by the enigmatic Inquisitor Ravara, who seeks her own closure in the veiled regions beyond the Rift, Evangeline must find a way to bear the weight of this unasked-for destiny if she and her Sisters are to succeed in restoring a fragment of light to this new dark Imperium.

too much inquisitor nonsense, not enough Sisters! Plot holes abound-- girl power hour is here. All the male characters are weak

Struggled through this book. Definitely not something I should have listened to right after Eisenhorn and Ravenor series. Didn't like the Inquisitor right off the bat. Did not really care for any of the characters and the singing threw me off.

This novel was a great listen and it really got me more interested in the sisters sororitas.

Good stuff. The voice actors for Evangeline got me with some of the singing and diolague. Not too much "brother brother bolter porn" lol

shed a few tears 😢

the main thing I didn't care for in this sorry was the bouncing back and forth of the voice actresses for two main characters. I believe this could work better in an audio drama.

otherwise, i felt the descriptions of the environment were a bit too detailed, I enjoyed the book and the story was very well done.

I cried at least 3 different times at the emotional dagger that was twisted into my emotions.

Highly recommend for Adepta Sororitas fans and surprisingly, I am now interested in lore about the enemy that shows up at the end of the book. Was not expecting to have such empathy towards a force of chaos.

It did take a bit to power thru this book at times, but again, I do recommend this book to those interested into Adepta Sororitas and the Imperium.

Could have worked as an audio drama
