Armed with new knowledge, Alex is confronted by ancient conspiracies.

After going to hell and back, Alex Roth has gained knowledge about the Traveller, Thameland’s cycle, and the hidden priests that serve Uldar’s will.

Anticipating his identity being discovered sooner or later, he plans to make himself so famous and indispensable to Generasi that the priests would not even have a prayer of dragging him into the war’s frontlines.

With newfound power, he and his companions seek to prove themselves once more in the Games of Roal, all the while Alex expands his business empire, grows stronger and researches his foes.

But those foes are not idle.

Ancient alliances are renewed, and revelations about the truth of Thameland’s cycles will change Alex’s role in his kingdom, his school, and even in his own life.

Forever.

First first I would like to say what a fantastic book. I've been pulled into this story time and time again. Highly recommend can't say that enough. Without giving anything away I'll try my best, to leave it honest review.

In my humble opinion, book 7 has been a beautiful bookend to some of the questions and plots the story has progressed. To show character development on a proper scale. I love how in the book they go through a proper demonstration of their growth as characters in combat and in life. I love the aspect of dealing with trauma and how you can go through that journey and what it does to you. And how can affect your relationships. I feel like there may be some people who only care for you know non-stop action. But I feel the author really showed that sometimes in life you need to take a moment to settle things.

You need to take a moment to live and I feel like this did that. In all aspects to me I wouldn't say proper character development and growth is filler though some may disagree. And that's you, but me as an lover of true growth and development as characters that can really pull you into their lives and to their struggles. This has definitely top top tier material in my opinion. And then finally leaving off with that cliffhanger,
chefs kiss.

It left you wanting more, it really did. And I feel like it's important that all of the stuff that got tied up at the beginning of the book left it free for the next books to focus on the main storyline outside of continued character development in strength. But focus on how to solve the major riddle of the Ravener..... thanks for reading.

Wow.... that cliffhanger!?...

The only part of these books I want to skip, and I want to skip it aggressively every single time, is when crowds annoyingly cheer a name over and over, usually in the games. The audiobook performance goes from 10/10 to 0/10 for a split second each time Travis is forced to emulate a crowds cheers. For future books, maybe just have the crowd cheering w/o actually including the cheers in the writing.

10/10 - just get rid of the chanting
