Leksander is a dragon prince of the House of Smoke, and he is in love with the wrong woman.

Leksander never meant to fall for an angeling, and he certainly never meant to hurt her. The protection of humanity is his most sacred duty, but how can he do that when he can't even protect the woman he loves?

Saving Erelah means saving himself; he'll be useless for anything else until he does, including finding a mate to fulfill a 10,000-year-old treaty to keep humanity safe from the fae. While he may not win her love, he will risk everything to save his angeling from her fall.

The worlds of shadow angels and vengeful Dark Fae collide in this penultimate book in the Fallen Immortal series. Either Leksander and Erelah will save the mortal and immortal worlds with a love that is true, or they'll bring a fall like the world has never seen.

The Fallen Immortals series is a modern Beauty and the Beast story with flaming hot dragon shifters, vengeful dark fae, and beguiling fallen angels.

This book picks up from where Loved by a Dragon finished and this story of love between Leksander and Erelah continues to be fraught with difficulty. After succumbing to the Fall Erelah summons her father the Dark Angel Razael who takes her back to his dominion. There she learns the story of how she was conceived, she learns that her father was still in the Light when she was conceived and that she was conceived in love, a planned baby who was to be called Aurora.

When Erelah fled from Leksander he was determined to find her and bring her back, he cares not if she is of the light or one of the fallen - he just knows that his love is true and believes he can save her and bring her back into the light. With the help of Tajael Leksander goes to Razael's dominion to bring her home. Whilst doing this both he and Tajael are injured but Erelah heals Leksander and transports him back to his Keep.

Eventually, they mate and all should go well from here but there is a demon uprising to contend with and whilst this is happening Leksander is captured by dark anglings and delivered to Zephan, Prince of the Winter Fea. In the past Zephan had tried to hurt the mates of both of Leksander's brothers. He can't do anything to harm Leksander himself but he has a plan - a truly evil plan which will mean the end of Leksander, the end of the Treaty and the eventual end of humankind.

I'd love to tell you more but that would totally spoil this wonderful story for you so I'm not going to say anything further except that this book is exciting, gripping, has incredible chemistry and by all that's magic, the sex just sizzles! The narration by Holly Warren and Aaron Sin is so well done and I must say drew me in totally.

I received a copy of this book as a gift and this review is written voluntarily.

These two went through so much to be together; storyline has been interesting and unique. I hope the next book has some payback for that Fae causing all of the problems for the dragon prince’s. Narrators did a great job with characters. On to the next book in series.
