Mr. Darcy has lived as a fugitive for years... until the day he saves Elizabeth Bennet's life

A carriage ride with her aunt and uncle Gardiner would usually be a most agreeable excursion for Miss Elizabeth Bennet. But when a highwayman ambushes them in the wilds of Scotland and leaves Elizabeth for dead, only one man comes to her rescue…

Mr. Darcy.

The enigmatic gentleman had been living in hiding, until a lady's screams tore his peace to shreds. Rushing to help, he finds a striking dark-haired woman who has no idea who she is.

He must find out, and return her to her family—but how?

As Mr. Darcy's mysterious past catches up with him, the two strangers have no choice but to pretend to be a married couple. Sparks fly as they dash from one perilous moment to another.

Will Mr. Darcy ever clear his name?

Will Miss Bennet's memory ever return?

And will their make-believe marriage turn to dust when the truth is out?

I disliked the violence against three loved characters and the 21st idioms characters used which made the story even less believable.

Violence. Anachronisms.

I found the story, pretty predictable and trait. It took 11 hours to get through this book but what made it so on appealing was the use of AI voicing. It was monotone, with no feeling or excitement. Very disappointing not worth a read.

Computer generated voice was really a disappointment

Great new twist. Clean and wholesome. Nicely organized. Keep up the good work. Thank you very much

Best virtual voice i've heard

This book didn't work for me. The computer-generated narration is awful. The female voice is only marginally better than the painful male voice, and both have a distracting lack of inflection, especially in Elizabeth and Darcy's dialogue. While I don't mind dark JAFF, this one is poorly executed. The story might become "sweet" later, but I couldn't endure the grating narration past the first few chapters to find out.

Nope
