A standard trope with better people.

This is your standard trapped in a game plot except the people are realistic-ish. honestly my only gripe is that the players treat NPC's like people at all. Companions I understand but there is a reason almost every game with unkillable NPC's have mods for that. I would expect much more savagery from people who have to kill programs to escape. But it works it's way into it. Looking forward to the next book.

Lives up to its name

Fantastic story. Definitely lives up to the title. Perfect balance of action and humor. Can’t wait for the sequel.

Dark and amazing

Only dislike is that it's over. Dark but still funny at times. Hope a book 2 won't be a long wait.

Great story

I love this author! He always puts out a great story and he is quick at doing it. This new series is going to be great, I really enjoyed this book and ready to hear what happens next.

In the age of awful AI stuff, this hit the mark. Worth getting for the narration alone.
