In the glittering world of the ton wealth is as important as rank, rank nearly as important as connections. But nothing is as vital to one’s success in Society as having the right ghost. What is fashionable in specters changes almost as often as preferred fabrics and necklines, favored Diamonds of Society and admired Town bucks. Trading an unstylish ghost can mean the difference between social success and utter failure. And no one is more adept at facilitating those trades than England’s most sought-after ghost broker... Mercury Raine.

Born a penniless orphan, he has made both a name for himself and an enviable fortune. But when the intriguing Miss Huddleston and her overbearing mother arrive at his estate, intent on making an advantageous specter swap, the carefully crafted facade he presents to the world begins to crack. Miss Huddleston has brought a secret, one that could destroy everything he has built.

Jake Stormoen's reading made it easy to keep all the Ghosts straight. I think it would have been very confusing without all the different accents and tones of voices. Loved it! Can't wait for the next one.

Excellent voicing of the characters.

This book marks the start of an exciting new series, and you want to start now! Set in a mysterious Regency-era world where ghosts can be exchanged, Mercury Raine: The Ghost Broker is an incredibly creative and one-of-a-kind story.
Mercury Raine himself is the best in the business, a skilled and intriguing ghost broker. But when a young woman and her mother arrive at his home to exchange a ghost, he begins to suspect that this encounter might reveal long-buried secrets about his past... and perhaps stir a few unexpected feelings in his heart.
The audiobook, narrated by none other than Jake Stormoen, is absolutely fantastic. His performance brings the characters to life...the voices are incredible!

As usual great story and character development. I instantly cared about the characters and what happens to them. I wanted to know more. True the author packs a ton in such a short amount of time….its just not enough. I’m a bit anxious that I’m going to feel let down with the second book as well. Both are just too short.
I was not going to buy them but she’s one of my favorite authors and they were on sale. I sure hope the story becomes a full on series because I’m invested now!
The ghost are so fun and the idea behind swapping out your ghosts is interesting.
Here is to hoping we get more from this that these snippets.
