When Elliott Cruz first courted struggling single mom Karen Ames, it was a romance worthy of any Sweet Magnolia fantasy. The sexy personal trainer made it his mission to restore Karen’s strength - physical and emotional - and to charm her children.

Now, a few years into their marriage, colliding dreams threaten to tear them apart. Elliott’s desire to finance the business opportunity of a lifetime with their hard-earned “baby money” stirs Karen’s deep-rooted financial insecurities. It’s the discovery that their brother-in-law is cheating on Elliott’s sister - and thinks it’s justified - that puts their irreconcilable differences into perspective.

Will their own loving fidelity be a bond so strong they can triumph against all odds?

Karen was a little over the top with her fears and nagging. Enjoyed less than others in the series but still good

Now this is just my opinion but I wasn’t looking forward to Karen’s story. I didn’t really like her character in previous books and I was actually going to stop reading the series when I saw this installment was about her. I’m glad I gave it a try because I very much enjoyed this book! It felt as though Karen and Elliot had modern and relatable issues. I was very much interested in the side stories going on as well. Honestly Karen’s story might be my favorite after books 1 & 2!

The narration was great! I appreciated that the narrator tried to say certain Spanish words in their native tongue WITH an accent instead of washing them down. Well done!

I would recommend this book.

Far Better Than Anticipated
