New York Times best-selling author Jane Porter brings her trademark feel-good Christmas charm in her new novel filled with hope, love, and holiday sparkle!

Rory Douglas rarely returns to his home town of Marietta, choosing instead to unleash his demons competing on the American Extreme Bull Riding Tour. But after a particularly bruising season, Rory visits Marietta with the idea of buying an investment property and planning for a future he never imagined or wanted.

After 10 years as a flight attendant, Sadie Mann has turned in her wings to focus on her shabby chic business and becoming a single mom. Adjusting to her new life is proving harder than she expected and the last thing she needs is unrequited love, Rory Douglas, home for the holidays. Everyone knows he avoids Marietta, Christmas, and settling down, so why is he back now?

Rory and Sadie have never had a chance, but maybe this Christmas will bring the miracle they're looking for.

Critic reviews

"...Porter writes consistently swoon-worthy romances for her characters, and Sadie and Rory’s story is a perfect read to be paired with some hot cocoa." (Library Journal)

"...I really enjoyed escaping into this story which proved to be a real page turner that I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys well crafted contemporary romance stories to read, in fact I highly recommend everything I've read by this talented author!" (Splashes into Books Blog)

Loved the book. Very disappointed with the narrator. He talks with no feeling whatsoever. He also pronounces A LOT of words wrong. Including the main characters names. If I wasn't wanting to listen to this book so bad after all the Sheenan stories, I wouldn't have made it past the 1st chapter.

Terrible Narrator

Great feel good story. Narrator sounds bored. He has no feelings for this story. This story was a perfect happy ever after.

Narrator is disappointing.

The narrator is too monotone no distinction between the hero and heroine voice. Also no recognition for punctuation, paragraphs and chapters. Everything ran into each other.

The story is not bad but they keep hinting at something tragic but wouldn't go into details. I guess it's for another book.

Monotone

The narration was so bad I was glad it was a short . There was total monotone of the same voice on both characters without even a pause between the two characters. Could have been Virtual or robot because you didn't know who was talking.

Good story, horrible narration.
