Kate was more winny in this book, the narrator made everyone sound like high school kids in a mystery series. I started to become annoyed. Although i loved the plots and the characters altogether. It was nice to bring them back. I have listened to all 6 books one after the other. Not sure if ill want to listen to the 7th if its the same narrator though.

An adventure around every corner but it seems to drag on.

If you really have to find out what happened to Jack, then read the book because the narrator's lack of performance style will distract you too much from the storyline. She made the characters sound like they were middle school kids running around trying to save the world. I agree with the other reviews it was very robotic and I'm wondering if she's even a real person. she made the heroine sound like a petulant child most of the time.

Read the Book Instead

I've enjoyed the other books, but something about the narrator on this one seemed robotic and lacked feeling. Also, I don't feel like Cate was so vulnerable in the last books, but she seemed more of damsel in distress in this one which felt off.

It was a great story as always with this authors but the narration was weird. It was a very robotic presentation. Also the different accents were less than marginal.

Loved the story but...
