Marcus is amazing

My God, this book. Marcus could just be pure evil, but as you learn more about him you find he's got layers. I listened to the audiobook and I honestly don't think anyone other than Shane could have done Marcus justice. Rachel was perfect as Evelyn. She really brought all of the emotion into her performance. A standout scene for me was the meeting with Marcus and his family. His performance was really fantastic in that scene. This story is gripping and suspenseful, crazy and hot as hell.

The Best Book in the Series!

I like my books dark and this one hit the mark. The plot is very predictable but it was still enjoyable. I liked both main characters a lot. The FMC had gumption but not over the top as many authors do with a strong female. If your looking for a good romance with a bit of darkness this story is what you're looking for.

Good but not quite great.

After finishing Dangerous, I immediately wanted Marcus’s story. He is such an intriguing character who is dark and oh so dangerous. Evelyn is a honey-trap, sent to steal from Marcus. However, she gets more than she bargained for when she meets this enigmatic brother. Both are drawn to each other, in ways they can’t explain. When confronted by her “employer” about the flash drive she stole from Marcus, she finds herself protecting him, consequences be damned. She is taken and beaten, but Marcus comes to her rescue.

I really liked both characters and once again the narration was fantastic! Marcus is dark and dangerous, but with a surprising soft side. Evelyn is the perfect strong woman in need of a little support in her life that is killing her slowly. However, his need to have a baby with her seemed a little out of place. I loved how compassionate Evelyn was toward Marcus and how protective he was of her, but I think the middle of their relationship was a little rushed to their conflict. Add the chaos of the ending that tackled some major plot points rather too quickly for my taste, and combined caused this second story in the series to fall a little short of the mark for me. It was a good story, but it had the potential to be great.

Hot!

Dark, dangerous, and delicious.

Normally, I don't listen to darker romance, but this one sounded so good, and it did not disappoint. Really interested in reading some more of her books.

I will start with saying, I did not read the first book in the series, but I didn't feel lost. I'll have to go back and read the blurb for the first. Marcus made the best hero. So dark and dangerous. He has the sex appeal. Nora definitely delivers on some heart-pounding, throat-swelling emotion that you would expect from this kind of romance.

If I had to find something wrong, maybe his possessiveness was a bit fast? But I also feel like it's part of this sub-genre. He sees something he wants, and he will have it. I think his hard edges and Evelyn's soft side will really mesh well together. I definitely wouldn't mind a Monster for myself.
