Hot and intriguing

Although I haven’t read all the books in the correct order, I had no issues, whatsoever in figuring things out or revisiting some events that overlap… Rina’s books are always a hit for me! I loved the narration and the plot, I really love the FMC in this one (I always did,even from previous installments). This is a hot and intriguing story and I am eager to continue with the series!

The story. The couple. The narrators. Killed it!!! I don’t have one bad thing g to say about throne of Power. I literally listened all day because I couldn’t stop. Everything about this audiobook had me hooked!

Loved!

I've been wanting a Kyle book for SO LONG! I didn't REALIZE who the FMC was until chapter 6... and then I immediately unalived 🤣 this. Was. Epic!!!

It's about to go down!

The adult spin off of All the Lies and Truth with a Russian mafia twist, this story was a slow burn. Great featuring of the strong and resourceful Rai tangoing within her arranged marriage to husband Kyle. I liked Rai’s strength and ingenuity and Kyle’s total alpha, but I was waiting for the chemistry to knit between the two, in the tango push and pull. What held my attention, though, were the secrets and motivations just at the cusp of revelation.

Performance was excellent. Both voice actors were amazing in their range from characters to accents. The actress’ Russian accent was so authentic and she delivered well on reciting the male voices. While I do prefer duet narration, this dual performance was great compromise.

A decided slow pace that I expect will pick up and delve into secrets and more revelations in part two.

I am in looove.

I’m utterly obsessed and addicted to Kyle and Rai’s story. Shane East and Vanessa Edwin perform this story to perfection. Not only is Rina Kent’s story so enthralling you’re sucked in immediately, but these two narrators give them so much life, you can’t help but need to listen more. Through all of your daily chores and all of your adulting. Such a great listen, now on to the next one!
