Always read the summary....learned the hard way

I made the mistake of not reading the summary before purchasing....HUGE mistake! The first book ended full of cliffhangers and I immediately bought the second book to continue the story. I was extremely disappointed. Although I love having the option to hear POV'S from supporting characters in a series this was disappointing. Even though tiny tid bits from the first story revolving around liv, Dustin, ryan and liv's mom's creepy boyfriend are thrown in here and there...its as if the first book was thrown to the side in the middle of the story.

Contrived

Amanda is so inconsistent. She says I'll always listen and in the next sentence when the guy starts to talk she says not now. Later he tries again and she says there's nothing to talk about. This is repeated several times.
Character facts are not consistent from the previous book.

The narrator was good though.
