Can love be written when Tyler and Liz are on different pages?

After Liz Montgomery dumped "Mr. Perfect" four days before their wedding, she built herself a new happily ever after - aka workaholic. Between grad school, a demanding job, and helping with Happy Moments Charity events, she has determined not to let relationships stand in the way of her dreams again. But one wrong step throws her unwittingly into the arms of a stranger who could threaten her plans.

New York Times best-selling author Tyler Lakewood is in town to complete one job: interview family and friends for NFL star Kyle Montgomery's biography. When an opportunity to help Liz with Kyle's charity events turns the page of his plans, he goes to great lengths to ensure Liz sees him as Mr. Right. While fighting her mounting attraction for Tyler, Liz accepts Tyler's help. Soon, she can't deny he has already written on the pages of her heart. When plans for the annual charity ball unravel, she must decide whether to close the book forever or let him write the happily-ever-after ending she's always dreamed of.

Mr. Write is book one in the sweet, contemporary romance series, Sundaes for Breakfast.

I loved this book! I unintentionally read the 2nd book in the series first- Camera Wars (also loved!), but it didn't matter at the time. I wasn't missing anything, however, maybe it would have been even better to have known the backstory of the original couple. Anyway, this was a very sweet romance. It kept me interested until the end and was a quick read, mostly because I couldn't stop listening!! I have heard there is going to be a 3rd book in the series narrated, the Companion, and can't wait!! (I also just noticed there is a 0.5 book, Perfect Catch, that I plan to check to see if it too has been narrated...)

This is my 3rd book I have listened to that was read by this narrator, Stacey Glemboski. I just love her sweet voice, her intonations, everything! She has also somehow even made me able to like her male voice, not sounding fake or pushed lower. You know the narrator is good when you search for your next book based on the narrator alone!

I listened to this story on audible. I see one reviewer unhappy with editing, one of the beauties of audible you don't worry about that. I enjoy football romances and this was a cute clean romance.

Entertaining story

This story is beautifully narrated, the character voices are clear and convincing. The pace and tone of the narration are a great match for the emotions and activities of the story.

The story is not quite what I was expecting, it's like a historical romance that's written in the modern era. The romance is very clean and chaste and there's nothing in the book that give a reason for that.

That said the romance is quite sweet, the main characters had a strong connection and the writing is well done. There were some humorous moments that made me laugh and some sad bits that made me cry, it was easy to connect with emotionally and was easy to listen to. A good book for a lazy afternoon.

Sweet romance

Why do authors make us suffer through a romance when "the boy loses girl" part could easily be resolved with a quick conversation?

I loved the way Liz and Tyler met. It was sweet and natural and unassuming. There was no instalove and what developed seemed genuine. Why then, when an issue came up, would two people who talked about everything, not talk about that. Ugh.

I liked the story but I hated having to suffer through that angsty crap.

The narrator was excellent! I've listened to quite a few books by Glemboski and she is easily one of my best.

This was a good listen with a great narrator. A little less angst would have gone a long way.

Good love story but I hated the angst
