Detective Sergeant Ignatius Brown was on holiday. His leg not yet recovered from his last brush with death. Still plagued by "night terrors", he was glad of the opportunity to get out of London and join his two cousins on the airship for a quiet cruise. All is not as it seems when a notorious gunrunner is murdered.

In this instance the locked room is an airship.
While this is listed under the steampunk category, the only thing that makes it steampunkish is the mention of the airship, the clockwork lights and smoke extractor. The writing and characters driving the story seem like it should be under the Young Adult/New Adult category.

While the narrator had a nice voice, he was perhaps not the best choice for this book. Strange accents for some of the characters, and odd pronunciations for some words (cravat is pronounced cra-vat not crav-at). The turning/flipping of pages picked up during recording is a bit of a distraction.
