A Great Start

A great start to a new series. Kristin feels like something is missing in her life, and she is about to find out what it is the hard way. Kristin is strong and confident, but still very human in her responses.

Second chances

What a great read / listen. This is book 1 in Eaton's new series My Blood Runs Blue series and can be read / listened to as a stand alone. I wasn't sure what to expect when I stared this listen but it completely blew me away! A paranormal - vampire romance read with mystery, suspense, heartache and emotion. These main characters are so incredibly strong - I especially loved Kristin who stays true to who she is - no matter what. I love that this book is about second chances, in every aspect. Kristin finds herself in the middle of a love triangle - who will she choose? Julian or Alex - both make her blue blood boil with amazing chemistry! I can't wait for more!

Surprised and excited by this new series from SE!

First, I have loved every book I’ve ever read by Stacy Eaton. When I saw this book from SE, I automatically requested it without reading what it was about. I was surprised by the vampires....and loved every minute of it...almost. I was not a fan of the narration. Alex Black is a good narrator for a male character or 2 but not a few female characters and several males. There were several times that I didn’t know which character was speaking and had to go back to re listen and figure things out. The other thing I wasn’t too crazy about was the ending. No spoilers...I just didn’t like it. However, all of that said, even with my dislikes, I will absolutely,most definitely follow this series! Hence the 5 stars. It’s an awesome, well written story that kept me engaged from the very beginning. I finished the book in one sitting because I had to know the answers. Now, I can’t wait for the next one!!!! I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

Holy smokes never imagined Stacy writing this kind of story!!! Intriguing and intense book that knocks your socks off!!! Love surprises like this!! Keep it coming!

Great paranormal story

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW...I have become an audiobook lover. While I love turning the pages of a good book, listening to a good book is sometimes better. I love that with a good narrator you can hear the emotions of the book, you can feel things that you may miss when reading the book yourself, and that I can multi-task while listening to an audiobook.

Stacy Eaton chose Alex Black as her narrator for My Blood Runs Blue and he was wonderful. He was able to take Stacy’s story and bring it to life. I could feel the emotions, the fear of the unknown, and the love between the characters. I listened while doing my daily walks and found that time passed quickly while I lost myself in Alex’s voice as he told me a story.

The story itself was fun. I had not lost myself in a paranormal book in a while and was excited to start My Blood Runs Blue. The storyline has some great twists and turns while keeping it real enough that I felt like the story could be happening. Kristin learns about her history, a life she did not remember anything of, and finds herself in a love triangle. It was sweet and loving bringing people who meant a lot to her back into her life at a time when she felt very much alone. The steamy attraction had me sneaking in extra time to listen while the emotions kept me invested in Kristin being happy.
