Teddy Hamilton and Joe Arden did a fantastic job at bringing Max and Luca to life. They made the story all the more intense and hot.

This book tells the story of how Max, after being targeted by the new owner of a rival team, gets assigned Luca as his personal bodyguard. What Max doesn't know is that Luca is obsessed with him and used to work as an enforcer for the Bratva and the very man who is targeting him.

A lot happens in this book. On one hand, we have Lucas's complicated past with the Bratva, and on the other hand, we have Max and his abusive family history. Both their pasts complicate things in different ways when it comes to Max and Luca having a relationship, but they both had the understanding and acceptance the other needed to make things work.

I absolutely loved all the mafia vibes and the hate to love relationship between the MCs. Also, the ending was completely unexpected and absolutely beautiful. It had me gasping and brought me to tears.

two of my faves

Loved this story of Max and Luca! This is an MM story, in duet by 2 of my favorite narrators. Both Teddy and Joe are great in this. Their performances are full of emotion and they really bring Luca and Max to life. This is hockey meets mafia romance with enough twists and turns to keep you invested.

A good, solid MM romance! “Mafia Lite” but has darkish themes.

loved it right from the start

Joe and Teddy did such a phenomenal job narrating this book. Even with earbuds, I couldn't listen in public like I normally do. It had me kicking my feet, laughing, and nervous people could hear. The author definitely did not hold back on the spicy scenes. Absolutely loved this book

Hotness at it’s Finest‼️

I truly enjoyed listening to Joe Arden and Teddy Hamilton bring this steamy, action, and best of all hockey romance to life. I enjoyed the chemistry between the main characters, how in their own way they were able to deal with each other’s demons as united front. Let’s now forget about the steamy scenes, wow at one point I couldn’t stop dancing myself. Tori/Deborah did an amazing job of creating a story with amazing characters and such well developed plot. What really drew me into the story was Joe and Teddy, their voices together were pure magic!
