One night. One secret. One grumpy cop I should never fall for—especially now that he doesn’t know he’s my daughter’s father.

I’m a single mom on the run from my past when I crash straight into my one-night stand.
One reckless, earth-shattering night where he held me like I was the only thing he’d ever wanted… before I met my nightmare ex.

My escape from my ex lands me in Wildwood—a town that takes me in, hands me a job, and lets me learn how to breathe again.

Suddenly Ethan Collins is everywhere—
standing too close to me at the diner,
his voice warm enough to melt my guard,
watching me like he remembers exactly how I came apart under his hands seven years ago.

I try to keep my distance.
But he’s steady with my fear, dangerous with my heart… and somewhere between stolen moments and impossible chemistry, I fall.

Then he sees her—
her curls, her shy smile, his eyes staring back at him.

And if he walks away now…
he won’t just break me—
he’ll shatter his little girl’s innocent trust.

The AI voice was soothing, and I liked the accent, but often the way it phrased a sentence was a little odd. I liked the story, though.

Story Was Good. AI was interesting..

As my tittle say, we are supposed to believe that this relationship works because the author tells us it does, but there is absolutely no character development. All they do is have the same conversation whether inter or external over and over. Also way too much sex for two people that have no business having any of. Just messy writing that goes on for 6 hrs when the whole story could have been told in 1, just from the lack of anything really happening.

Character development…where are you?

The AI reading is horrible. Tone and inflections of words are so off it’s distracting.

Shouldn’t have AI read a book
