She wants nothing more to do with the husband she once loved.

He wants a second chance.

But can he convince her to forgive him for the tragedy that destroyed their marriage?

After three years in prison, Scott Mitchell is a changed man—and he’s determined to win back the woman he loves. But in light of all the mistakes he’s made and the devastating tragedy that changed both their lives forever, that’s a tall order. Yet without Jess, his future will be as cold and empty as the years he spent behind bars.

When Scott contacts her following his release, Jess isn’t receptive to a reconciliation. After surviving years of trauma and grief, she’s created a new life—and there’s no room in it for the husband who’d once been the center of her world.

The man who emerges from prison, however, is a different Scott … and the more their paths cross, the more Jess is forced to reconsider her vow to banish him from her life. But can she let go of anger and hate, open her heart to forgiveness—and find the courage to take a second chance on love?

In this RITA Award-winning novel, bestselling author Irene Hannon takes listeners on a heart-wrenching journey of mistakes, regrets, forgiveness, and the healing power of love.

Terrific narration only adds to wonderful story telling. There's a lot of story here. Loved listening.

So hopeful and inspiring. With so much going on in the world her books remind me of small town values and the blessings that we can always choose to gravitate to.

Love her books and the narrator.

I didn’t care for the subject of Elizabeth getting killed. I haven’t been through anything like that, but still it is a hurtful story. Anybody that has lost a child probably should not read or listen to this. I’m not sure how I would have acted or felt in these circumstances. Irene has written many wonderful other stories.

Faith, hope, never giving up.
