Robert Ralston is an average guy living in one of America's largest cities. He is the perfect definition of an American prepper. When three events in succession trigger a breakdown in society, Robert Ralston has to survive with his wife and two children.

Knowing the general rule that society totally collapses when there is no food or law and order, for three days he does his best to save his family. He makes many mistakes along the way. Although Robert is the perfect definition of a modern day prepper, he finds that much of what he learned about preparing to save himself and his family and to prepare for society's coming collapse wasn't enough!

This is a thriller that is both educational and suspenseful, with nonstop action. It will leave you wanting more, and it is written by one of the best authors of today.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

it was an ok story line. Kind of the typical story and I enjoyed some parts of it.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting was the beginning. The least was the over all story. It was like the author was kind of living out his secret self fantasy of SHTF situation where he envisions himself as the savior of mankind. I mean, he was elect both sheriff and mayor and saves lots of babies and little girls gets a stature dedicated to him in the end, kills all the bad guys himself like a modern day Rambo, his wife breaks down in tears as she apologizes for making fun of him being a prepper.......oh, and gets hit on by a hot women.

How could the performance have been better?

Oh yes, the voice was horrible most of he time. sounded more like character voices from a Tolkin novel.

Do you think Nine Meals to Anarchy: The EMP needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

no it ended.

Many repeated sentences throughout the book. Also many factual errors regarding weapons that even a person with limited knowledge should have known about

Too many repeated sentences

great story, but I wish there was more detail in the preps department. narrator had pretty good voices.

loved it

The writer made several mistakes that I was willing to overlook, but the line about a new magazine with 30 clips in it made it sound like the author has no idea about semi auto weapons or he just didn't do his research.

Needs more research
