Entertaining

This was a really fun read for anyone interested in Vikings and their mythology. The performance was excellent.

Absolutely Incredible

An incredible debut. Holdt's writing hooked me from the very beginning. This is a multi pov storyline with such a vast array of characters, and I was upset each time the chapter ended and switched to a new POV because I just wanted to know what happened next. While there was a bit of a pacing issue for me towards the middle of the book, overall this story was action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat desperate to find out what happened next. I really loved how well the characters were written, except for Finn.....truly hope he dies at some point.

If you enjoy reading a story about Vikings, strong female characters, the Norse Gods and Jötnar, stories about revenge with incredibly descriptive battle scenes, stories that make you lose track of time, stories with animal companions, and just overall fun engaging stories, then I highly recommend picking this up.
