Barrett Bradshaw was living the life for a while. As the de facto leader of House Dragon at Nosferatu Academy, his peers and teachers alike held high hopes for him. That was largely because of who his rather famous father turned out to be. Sure, everyone at the academy was the scion of some family of demihumans or another, but only Barrett had an archangel for a parent.

With Demonika Darcy, his half-succubus vampire childhood crush, Rhapsody Tepes, Dracula's quirky daughter with princess syndrome, Mako Takahashi, the red-skinned oni-girl with a bit of a temper, and Ophelia Sprinkledew, the psycho murder fairy herself, he decides to take a week off from the pressures of schoolwork to return to Earth, pursuing his own agenda.

His priorities change dramatically when he makes an encounter there he wasn't expecting... But that's just the start of his problems. Dracula hasn't given up on Barrett being his successor, and he still has to figure out what to do with his teacher, Cordelia Darcy, who recently betrayed his trust in order to link herself to him and be able to walk in sunlight. Not only that, but now it seems the Netherveil is no longer the safe haven it once was.

Will everyone survive the coming conflict? Will Barrett choose to lead all vampires into a brave new world? Is his library card still going to work when he visits his hometown?

🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊I hope there are more books to come in this series! The MC is great along with a really good supporting cast! The story is captivating! The narrators also do a good job of bringing the story to life! Great job Virgil Knightley!

Rushed

While I don't dislike how this book (and series) ended, it was rushed. Needed a book more to flush out the characters and establish more connection. Otherwise the story was fine.

It took a while but it’s back

I throughly enjoyed this entry. The character growth was especially note worthy. The voice acting was excellent as I have come to expect from Royal Guard. If you enjoyed the other books this is a no brainer.

Great Comedy

What a great row up to this series. It really hit on all cylinders for a satisfying conclusion to Master’s tale.

Such a great series

I have really enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end. but the series does end well and I definitely think this is the best series. I’ve read a while.
