I remember reading this book and having the unexpected snort or two. These snippets actually came through with the virtual voice, which is both surprising and scary. Fortunately, the virtual voice wasn’t that good. I have several narrators I favor and don’t want to see replaced by a computer. This is one book that with the right voice actor would become an instant favorite that I would repeatedly listen to.

The book is both spicy and funny. I love how Darcy is characterized. Elizabeth is OK, at least she isn’t presented as snarky as she usually is in these variations. I guess Darcy’s character is more fleshed out than Elizabeth’s. He certainly comes across as someone you DO NOT want to cross. He is a tad ruthless.

Loved the book and the recording is tolerable.
