Wonderful for New Mothers

I implore you to listen to this audiobook throughout your pregnancy. It offers a safe space of consistent support and gives you some amazing tools to get through your pregnancy in a healthy way.

Great information, was simply put to be able to grasp the information. good read

Not for me

Some of the advice in this book was very obvious and surface level, while other parts felt condescending and a little concerning. The advice about work/life balance rubbed me the wrong way and seemed a bit old school to me.. Some of the relationship advice didn’t sit well either. Some of the advice about things you should be doing to prepare or chemicals you need to look out for made me more anxious. Some of the lifestyle, wellness and medical advice felt judgmental. I can appreciate different perspectives but it was the way they were presented as facts and judgements that made me uncomfortable or anxious.

Idk… maybe I was reading it wrong and I hate to leave a lukewarm review, but I couldn’t finish this book. I’ve read several other pregnancy books that I really enjoyed, like Expecting Better, Cribsheet and Bumpin’. This one was not for me.
