Enjoyable

I enjoyed the story. I didn’t like the IA voice but the story was good .

Emotion? Sarcasm? Not in This AI’s Vocabulary

Yet another well-written storyline with an entertaining protagonist—completely ruined by the AI narration. There’s no emotion, and every punch line and bit of sarcasm is delivered robotically. Hard to stay engaged, but I powered through only because the story itself deserved better.

Surprising plot...enjoyable characters

The story line and characters are interesting and relatable. While a few of the twists are obvious, most are not. The narration by Virtual.Voice was better than some I have heard.

Nope

I tried three times to get into this story and simply could not do so. It may have been because of the terrible virtual voice narration, but the characters were boring and the story was lackluster.

Too “Cute” for action/horror

I dig the overall idea - a different take on “the Day of the Triffids” mixed with “night of the Living Dead”.

However, the protagonist is always thinking up quirky ways to consider the horrific mayhem around him. This becomes so constant it destroys all the story’s suspense.

Any true frightening moments are then drowned with “goofy” humor.

We end up getting an Action/Horror novel with no real successful action, or horror.
