Good

I really liked Tessa in this book. She didn’t seem to be as naïve in this book. She knew that nobody was going to rescue her so she started planning on how to rescue herself and her family from the dungeon. When Tessa rescued herself and family, they made their way back into the mists and she was reunited with the missed King. I could see the slow burn of romance between these two characters and I was wondering when they were finally going to come together and either have sex or something like that. Tessa learned more about her father and herself in this book. The ending of this book was rather interesting, but it was good. I’ll definitely be reading the next book in this series.

Very Good Read

Interesting world building and plot line. Got a bit tired of female lead's bias and stubbornness but her character does show growth. Both narrators were excellent but editors fell down on the job with repeated lines, and most annoying, increased speed on numerous chapters read by male narrator.
