Secret baby and longtime crush

I always really hoped Scarlet and Ally would get together. I remember when they first met in Storm the Castle. I thought they would have a great story with all the shared connections with their families. And their story didn’t disappoint. What I did not expect was a secret little McRae baby 😱 I loved seeing Ally grow up in an instant and become the man we always knew he could be. This was a very sweet and heart warming story, with plenty of spice. Can’t wait to move on to the next generation!

This book is absolutely perfect! I love Ally and Scarlet, there story is so heartwarming and the heat that they have is scorching!!! Jolie Vines amazes me with every book and then listening to them makes them come to life so much more!!

Emotional, steamy and magnificent

I have been waiting for Ally’s (Alastair’s) story and it is unputdownable. Ally has long been the brother that uses his looks and his charm to get by in life. Modelling is the career path his has taken, at least for now. When he unexpectedly encounters Scarlet at one of his modelling jobs, the attraction between them sparks up again, but this time she takes the initiative and kisses him. Ally has loved Scarlet since he first saw her as a young teenager, (when her sister married his brother), but his brother warned him not to pursue her. Now that he has had a taste of her, he wants more. That must take a back seat, however, when he receives news that he fathered a child and unfortunately the child’s mother died. This news and another life changing incident are the impetus for change in Ally’s outlook and lifestyle. He steps up to prove himself worthy of being a parent to his daughter and discovers that Scarlet is willing to stick by his side, come what may. The path forward isn’t easy, but together they can face the setbacks, the doubts and legal hurdles as they discover the love between them and their mutual love for his baby daughter. Catching up with all of the characters from the previous book is wonderful and certainly adds to the enjoyment of this book. The Epilogue is wonderful and is the perfect conclusion to this series.

As she usually does, Jolie has given readers characters that evoke empathy and the need to see them attain their own happily ever after. This book is very well written and thoroughly enjoyable. The wonderful narrators bring Jolie’s words to life, with subtle nuances and inflections that make the characters more real, more memorable.

Worth the Wait!!!

Agggh! I’ve been waiting for this one to come out on audio and I was not disappointed!

I’ve loved Ally since first reading Cait’s book (Obsessed). Then fell hard for him in Storm the Castle (Callum’s book). He’s just the brother you love in all of the books!

I loved this book when I first read it last year and now adding the audiobook to my collection. Both narrators did an amazing job bringing Ally and Scarlet to life. They brought forth the emotions Jolie wrote perfectly.

I’m extremely happy with this and expect it will become one of my recurring favorites.
