After her fiancé, Stephan, abandons her on their wedding day, Talia is determined to keep her dignity intact. With her bridesmaids in tow, she walks off with her head held high. Talia expects to cleanse the bastard from her system with some tequila, maybe flirt with a hot cowboy - but what she doesn’t expect is to run right into an old flame from years ago.

Seeing Jessie again, Talia realizes that some sparks never quite go out. Unfortunately, it seems that her ex-fiance wasn’t finished destroying her life, and the next bomb Stephan drops leaves her devastated. Once she finds out what part Jessie is playing and the truth behind his motives, everything changes. Talia is left with a choice that will change everyone’s lives.

Once Upon a Kiss is a reverse fairy tale. No need to come to rescue the princess this time around. This time it’s her turn to save the day.

This was a great story. The romance was cute, but what I liked best was the heroine, and what she did with the situation she was put in. Great characters and an original plot. I received a free review copy of the audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A heroine to admire.

a sweet short story. would have loved for it to be longer.
when there are two POVs (male and female) I prefer to have two narrators (male and female...).

I am never a huge fan of short stories because they always feel incomplete but that was not the case at all with this. I thought the story was great and the narrator was also very good. My only criticism is the cover.

A great little story

When Talia gets stood up at the alter, she does what anyone would do ---- she heads to the bar in her wedding dress with her bridesmaids. While drowning her sorrows in Tequila, she runs into a former flame, Jessie.

I found both Talia and Jessie to be relatable and interesting but my favorite character was a minor character, Talia's dad. I think that her dad did a great job raising a modern, independent woman. While she didn't need a man to take care ofher, Talia still had a close relationship with her dad.

This was my first book by Rachel Tamayo and I found it to be a quick but fun listen.Narrator Evelyn Wright did a good job but was a little stiff at times.
