She walked away from him 10 years ago. Not even a rocking body and a sweet smile can change his mind now.

Blue Brigham was the man of the farm from an early age, so it was easy to get swept up in his older-than-his-years charm all those years ago. But when it came down to it, legal wasn't enough to keep a town like theirs from talking, and Harper Haley just wouldn't risk going public with their brief affair. She'd packed up and left town to marry another man her own age, thinking she'd left the past behind.

Blue thought he knew what he signed up for when he moved his sister back in at the farm after her husband left her for another woman, but when Harper shows up shortly after, he knows he's in for trouble, still holding onto the grudge from all those years before when she left him like he meant nothing, to be with another man. Trouble is, she looks better than ever, and she's not going easy on him. Not even a little bit.

She walked away from him 10 years ago. What will it take to melt through his defenses for a chance at redemption?

This was my first Nicole R. Locker story and it was definitely one that can hold a readers attention. I would consider it a second chance romance since the two main characters had history, but it also had a bit of enemies to lovers feel because of Blue's feelings towards Harper in my opinion.

The animosity and angst between these two characters was completely understandable given their past and even when more facts came to light, I still understood Blue's anger and kind of sided more with him. It was all well told and I was happy with the ending, but if I'm honest I wish Harper had more of a backbone ten years ago (in the past). I wish there had been a little more to the reason why they aren't together at the start of the book, even if it was a huge misunderstanding or a scheming or catty other person who could have interfered. Even if it had all been something that could have been resolved with a real conversation to explain things I think I would have preferred that a bit more than just a character refusing to stand up for what they want. Maybe if this was a book that was meant to be set in a time where things like this were common place I would have understood but I didn't get the impression it was.

The narration for this story though? Once again Tor Thom and Charley Ongel were great. I love their duet narration. They always sound like they've been doing this forever with how smooth and immersive their performance comes across. I always know exactly who's speaking because they give their characters different tones and of course I just love listening to Tor Thom speak. He's got one of those voices.

I was happy to have a chance to be introduced to a new author through narrators I love to hear. I would definitely enjoy listening to the next in this series, others by this author and of course I always need more from these narrators.

This was a wow listen. It grabbed you from the first just wondering who is going to crack first .
Hero is Blue. Heroine is Harper .
This audio is a friends to enemy to lovers story. It’s also a younger man to older woman story . It’s also a secret love affair at the time Harper is Blues sister best friend. Once upon a time both Blue and Harper were in Love then Harper took off After 10 yrs Harper shows up again . Blue sister asks Harper to stay at their homestead. Blue doesn’t know how to take Harper staying so close to him.
Slowly as days pass Blue finds out Harper had no choice but to leave.

Tor Thom and Char.ey were beyond fantastic. They played the characters and emotions so real , you felt like you were right in the story . It was my first story from the author

What a sweet, heartwarming story! Second chance is my fave trope and that combined with older women/younger man and a bit forbidden (sister's BFF). Yes! Yes! Yes!. Big Man Blue was a wonderfully romantic story about love and the power of forgiveness. Narration was perfect and fit the story. Tor Thom as cowboy, Blue Brigham...yes please!

Who wouldn't want a second chance at love?

I loved this story. I loved how it actually had 3 main characters but was not a sexual book. This is a great second romance through and through and narration was excellent as always.
