This is officially my favorite Carley Fortune book.

In my opinion, this book reads more like literary fiction with romance as the subplot. Our FMC gets broken up with the night before her wedding and ends up going on her prebooked honeymoon with her best friend. But this story was about so much more than just friends to lovers. Frankie needs to find herself again, and George helps her through every step of the way.

It was definitely a slow burn but once we got there… BROTHERRRR 🔥

I also loved all of the whale knowledge throughout the book. At the end of the audiobook, they go more in depth about endangered whales and the Canadian fires that are mentioned multiple times in the story, which I thought was really interesting.

Outstanding Read!

This book captures the beautiful brokenness of two people who exponentially find wholeness in each other. Frankie and George’s friendship is a beautiful representation of love that brings out your best self. I loved the adventure and the true to character development of the story.

Perfect in so many ways

This book has become my favorite! I experienced so many emotions throughout the story and in such a calming and relaxing way. I could not stop listening! The readers were exceptional!
