A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

With tyranid hive fleets approaching, the Carcharodons make a stand on the world of Piety V. If they can stop the xenos here, they will be able to end the menace before it begins.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

The most inhuman and brutal Chapter of Space Marines get a first hand look at the common people they fight to protect, and the results are surprising.

THE STORY

The Carcharodons’ remit is an unenviable one – this Chapter of Space Marines plies the dark areas of space, endlessly hunting down the enemies of mankind. Living on the edge, with no fixed base of operations, they are creatures shaped by their environment, renowned for their ruthlessness and their brutality. With a fresh wave of tyranid hive fleets approaching the galactic plane, the Carcharodons decide to use the world of Piety V as a bulwark. If they can stop the xenos here, they will be able to end the menace before it begins. But as they mobilise the planet’s defenders, and fight the tyranids, the Carcharodons come to learn what the value of mankind truly is.

Is it bad that I can relate to the Carcharadons? Do yourself a favour and listen to this one. Will it leave you considering man's inhumanity to man? No. Maybe. This is what you expect from a SM 40k novel. At least the Space Sharks aren't complete idiots which is surprising given their, ahem, "anger issues". But you know, we've all been there so no judgement.

Baby Shark? NO! Space Shark? YES!!!!

If you like the space sharks then you’ll like this book, easy to follow and the same characters from the first so you get that continuity.

Absolutely love it, only thing is that the transitions were a little weird but I am more than fine with that because of how good the book is, absolutely amazing!

This was a very solid book. While Red Tithe wasn't the strongest or most interesting look at the fan favorite shark boys, we finally see Tyberos in this installment and a few scenes of their brutality.

The book does suffer from a "tell don't show" approach still but there's at least several more drawn out fights that cover their brutal efficiency. The attitude seems much better displayed and the tie in front Red Tithe are great. I would recommend first reading red Tithe to get a much better understanding of the characters but it's also not essential in order to understand the plot or enjoy.

First decent look at the Carcharodons

The author makes sure to drill it in over and over that Ranek is a very strong woman that rejects societal norms. Other than that cringe the book is great.
