Narrator ruined the story

A.J. Is one of my favorite authors, and this story is one of my favorites of hers. But the female narrator with her halting and over pronunciation and breathy speech patterns with weird accents, especially when she does the male character’s speech, is really distracting. I couldn’t even make it through the first chapter and it’s a shame. AJ is a really good author, but I’ve noticed that several of her really great stories have been overshadowed and made unlistenable by bad or miss chosen narrators. I would buy every single book she puts out in both Kindle and Audible if that weren’t the case. Guess I’ll just have to satisfy myself with the Kindle versions and read it myself.
