Just love this series..

I cannot say it enough.. I just love this series (heck all of the books). There’s always drama, suspense, and sometimes surprises too.. I live Lexi and Cruz together. And I am always so much more happier when the story has a HEA!!!

Cruz helps Lexi overcome and find love

Crus is the quintessential book boyfriend for any woman who experienced sexual assault! Lexi kept her assault a secret for four years and when she began to have feelings for Cruz, who had asked her out months ago, she started to open up to her friends, brothers, Cruz, and her parents. Cruz's patience and care for her was so beautiful as he and Cunningham Security race to find out why young women, Lexi's age are disappearing. Beautiful story of overcoming past traumas and finding a love that will help you overcome.

The audiobook was well recorded and I enjoyed listening to the book.

Worth listening

I found this book relatable, whether you have experience with or just may know someone that has. A K Evans dealt with the subject matter sensitively, and made me believe there is hope for not only Lexi but any readers who can relate. Im so glad I listened. I enjoyed it.

Loved the Performances in this One!

I just love experiencing the characters I adore in a new way! Listening to the audio version of “Overcome,” Book 2 in A.K. Evans’s Cunningham Security series was such a treat. The story of assault survivor Lexi Townsend and her journey to an HEA with the yummy Cruz Cunningham thru he’s my heart from the beginning - particularly since Cruz reins in his natural protectiveness and encourages Lexi to rebuild her life on her own terms. Troy Duran (one of my faves!) and Ava Erickson did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life, and I friggin’ adore the sense of history it has since both the hero and heroine are linked to Evans’ debut Everything series and subsequent Hearts & Horsepower lineup. Both narrators were amazing at conveying the raw emotion, the fear and suspense, and all those delicious lip-biters and heart-tiggers that I love about A.K. Evans books. Impeccable!

A story of survival and overcoming things that could break you by not allowing them to define you forever. Lexi has been struggling with her assault for years, but as Cruz makes his interest known without being pushy, he elicits a new desire in Lexi to overcome more and embrace a brighter future. Cruz is the perfect match for Lexi and her past, bringing her back to life from the shell she became. But growing danger in their town that has Cunningham on it's trail sets it's sites on Lexi, and action and suspense erupt as Cunningham races to save not only Lexi but many others. Ava Erickson and Troy Duran do an excellent job bringing the story from the pages to your ears.
