Paax never wanted to be matched to a mate.

The situation in his clan was dangerous for a hardened warrior, let alone a soft human female without fangs or claws to defend herself. Sending her back to Earth was the only way to keep her safe. However, the moment the curvaceous woman stepped off the transporter, his tattoo burned with a passionate intensity he’d never experienced before. Paax knew he would do anything to protect her, to claim her, even challenge the clan’s violent Warlord.

No force in the universe would take his mate from him.

Matched to an alien warrior in the Draft, Mercy swore she’d do whatever it took to get out of the marriage contract. She liked her life on Earth and her independence. No one would take it away, not even the ridiculously hot warrior who demanded she call him husband.

Why is being claimed by the horned muscular alien the only thing she can think about?

She didn’t want to stay, did she?

Really enjoyed this story; not your typical alien storyline. Where art thou Paax? Love his personality; sweet, sexy, and buff! The narrator did a great job as usual. This is the second book I’ve listened to by the authors and I really like them. Now to find another one!

I liked the story but I had a little trouble with the way the story jumped from scene to scene without some explanation of how we arrived at the next scene. It was a short story that could’ve actually been ‘fleshed out’ a little bit clearer. It didn’t need to be so short if the choppiness had been eliminated. There was a time or two that I was left a little confused, thinking I had missed something. However, after saying that, I am intrigued enough to move on with the series.

Good story idea, needs clarity

This book was pretty standard for arranged w/ an alien. It was one of the ones where both parties are willing to communicate. That being said, this whole book felt like a collection of random thoughts strung together. I kept having to back up to determine if I'd missed a part because it was so disjointed or leapt forward without a real description.
