A Disappointment For Me

What happened? Desi was so wonderful in Desdemona along with Jordan. Then we get no Jordan until the end and all Desi in her weakness. What is this? How can you wrap us up in Jordan with his running from his family, death of Ash, his reign to Princedom , and not give us more on his life, his powers, and his family. The author tried to clean it up in the end, but what a drop off. So, she's free to stop running...what now. What became of Tom? What adventures do they go on as a trio sometimes the 4 of them including Tom of course? Nothing more as this is the last book and I would say wait until it's included or just don't waste your credit or coins on this book of a whole lot of running. I'm going to see if I can get my coins back on this one, and this is the first book I've thought to do this on. 😔

Bait and switch romance novel.

The first novel raised an interesting situation. I was hoping the protagonist would continue as a low-level investigator for the lost.

I had hopes for some real noir. A Maltese Falcon narrative of betrayal and just deserts.

Instead, the femme fatale/tough girl took over the story. She became a milk sop and kept complaining about her relationships.

Not only did Ben Macallan ruin a great character, But he or she wasted my time on a romance novel.

Some people like romance novels. I detest them. I listened to the end, but would not have bought this book if I had known what it was.

Not quite what I was hoping for…

The story was good, but didn’t live up to the first for me. The narrator was very talented, but her voice didn’t match the character to me. These are very subjective observations. If you liked the first book, it’s worth continuing.
