Attorney Scott Winslow and CIA agent-turned-investigator Lee Henry are back with another extraordinary case. Scott must prove that a powerful company CEO raped his subordinate, Sarah Willis, on a business trip. Investigator Lee Henry employs his CIA background, and unorthodox practices, to chase evidence and help Scott prosecute the case. While Scott goes all in on the case, Lee reaches behind opaque curtains to search for clues. But can they piece it all together and win the case?

Personal Violation is a fictional account of a real world horror. It portrays the substantial injury caused by rape, and what a woman who makes a stand confronts in seeking justice. The story also provides insights into the legal system as the case makes its way to trial, and twists and turns along the way.

I really liked Personal Violation by David P. Warren. This is the second book in the Scott Winslow series. I wasn’t crazy about the first book in this series but decided to give book two a try. I’m very glad I did.
In this book a woman is raped by her supervisor at her job. When she reports the rape her supervisor claims it was an affair. Shortly after he claimed that her work is not up to par and fires her. Because of getting fired and the rumors going around, she is now unable to find another job.
Anyway, there’s a great court case and a few surprises.
Scott R. Smith does an excellent job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is the 3rd David P. Warren book I have either listened to or read. At an early point in each book, I get cought up in the story and can't stop. The characters are coming to life in each story. This book in particular was realistic and made me think about situations that are probably common, but had no idea the power some could have. Hope you keep the detective in the next book.

This is Mr. Warren's best book yet. I couldnt put it down highly recommend it. The characters are richly developed and relatable. It felt like I was right there every moment. It is very suspenseful as it leads the reader thru the personal trauma and legal process of sexual assault. I am looking forward to his next book.

Great Book

Overall I really enjoyed and moved along well with twists and turns. Slightly disappointed with some of the resolutions, seemed a bit far fetched.

Very good listen, kept me very interested.
