Awesome narration!

The pan flute between chapters is a bit much (because the chapters are short), but if you love the book and movie, this performance does not disappoint! If you're new to Hanging Rock, you're in for a treat.

A REAL "PICNIC" OF AN AUDIOBOOK

Picnic at Hanging Rock is an enjoyable yet disturbing novel. The writing is clear and entertaining, the story easy to follow, the descriptions of characters and settings detailed enough to enhance the readers' enjoyment of the novel. The mystery builds as the story continues. Yet the novel ends without a resolution, leaving readers to draw their own conclusions or, like the characters in the novel, to wander aimlessly among the crags of Hanging Rock.

Good Classic

What did you love best about Picnic at Hanging Rock?

I hadn't read this story for many many years. To listen to it on audible was a pleasure - i had forgotten so much of the story.

the portrayal of the times was very interesting.

the music at the first week chapter was irritating. The story was okay but could have had more substance.

NOT Unabridged!

The story is excellent and the narrator is superb however I was extremely disappointed when I realised that it is abridged, and not unabridged as shown.
