Seeking solace, he confides in the building's doorman about his mounting troubles. Little did he expect to be asked if he wanted someone to swoop in and solve all of his problems. And he certainly didn't anticipate being abducted by aliens while sitting in his living room playing a game later that night.

Vex, on the other hand, was seeking a new adventure.

Growing tired of living on the planet, he sold his home and used the money to purchase a yacht. Now, all he needed was the perfect partner to travel the galaxy with, while he traded securities to fund their lifestyle without depleting his existing wealth. When he comes across the commcast of the Supreme Warlord's double wedding, he recognizes one of the grooms as the same Hurk his cousin Lupper works for. With a quick communication to gather more information, Vex formulates a plan.
