Nothing Is As It Seems

I really enjoyed book 5 of the "Elven Alliance" series. This story was aptly titled as it featured a fake courtship between Prince Edmund and Princess Jalissa, which is one of my favorite tropes. I was so captivated by the story that I had to listen to it in one sitting. There was danger, intensity, romance, and humor within the pages of the tale. Liz Brand's narration was charming and added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Characters are dynamic

I really enjoy that the characters in this series are self aware and change as a result of their experience and interactions

Get caught up in this epic Story

I absolutely fell in love with this Series. I found myself with palm to chest. Or taking a shakey breath... Eyes Misting.
The only thing that wasn't it was... mutt. That means the Story was well written and preformed awesomely by the Narrator. ⚘⭐⭐💐

I devoured this audiobook.

This has so far been my favorite of the Elven Alliance books!!! My review will contain spoilers, just FYI. I listened to it on audio book (the narrator is fantastic) and got through this one really fast. (Audio books normally take me a little time to get through.) Edward and Jalissa's friendship turning into a romance was the sweetest thing ever, and Edward is just a very entertaining person in general. Plus I love when characters announce pregnancies in books, it is very exciting to see everyone's reactions and this did not disappoint.

narrator did a great job with this story. I live this series. bought all of them.
