Pride and Prejudice has long been Britain's favorite novel, and though first published over 200 years ago, has stood the test of time. Its bright sparkling dialogue and sharply drawn characters continue to delight reader young and old. The romance between Elizabeth and Darcy has been imitated countless times in other novels but has never been equalled.
Read by Claire King, a well known and loved British TV actress. She has starred in Bad Girls, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, and Coronation St, among many other roles. She brings her great style and vivacity to this classic audiobook.

I enjoyed Claire King's pacing with the narration. Her voice is pleasant. I just wish her voices had been a little more distinct between some of the characters.

So I'm only going to share with you my opinion on the interpretation by Ms King:)
I generally liked it quite a lot; Ms King has a nice voice, the kind of voice that says "BBC costume drama" - in the best sense:) It's kind of raspy, yet genteel, and she reads very clearly and quite fast. Also, she doesn't do voices, she just reads the book, and yet there's no problem identifying particular characters.
The only thing I can pinpoint as a weakness is small pauses here and there, in unexpected moments, like in the middle of a paragraph - I had an impression this was where she was turning a page while reading... It made me lose focus and mentally jerk once or twice, thus 1 star less for the performance...
Other than that, Ms King's interpretation of the book is very good and I'd like to listen to other classics read by her.
