Life is primal and filled with deadly games. To survive, one might say, is to live and breath this conspiracy.

Wildest thing is that I've been thriving lately. Rising to the position of Alpha Prime, conquering those that got in the way or didn't want a new force in their own lives, seeking instead to snuff out my flames before I learned to use my power. Before I insisted on claiming its entirety. Unfortunately for them, I wasn't easy to kill.

I feel lucky now, gifted even. With few visible enemies and friends who would go to bat for me at the drop of a hat, things are good. The women that stand beside remain a deeper mystery that I'll always love exploring.

We might have kept on like this. In peace and contentment. Yet despite the tugging at my heart that said I needed to back off and keep in my own corner of the world, to ignore the letter that arrived, the one inviting me to enter and fight in the Primal Games.

We won't have the advantage of home terrain. And we'll certainly be outnumbered. Some would likely call me a fool for signing up, but how can I suppress such a primal call?

Really good

Unfortunately, this book continues to have the problems that the second book had of not finishing certain points of the storyline for example take Petras personality and things she was comfortable with. There was a 360 with no explanation. The general principle of the story is good but unfortunately lots of details are looked over or poorly explained. There are loads of plot holes. I won’t be continuing the series.
