The BRAND NEW royally Spicy MM romance from Nora Phoenix, perfect for fans of Casey McQuiston, Alexis Hall and Jax Calder!

Tropes & Themes: MM Romance / All the spice / Roommates to lovers / Forced proximity / Friends to lovers / College setting

Can I have both—the title and the guy?

After a scandal, starting college in Massachusetts is my fresh start. With an ocean between me and the palace in The Netherlands, this is the chance to be just Floris instead of the first openly gay prince in Europe.

College life in America appeals to me…including my roommate, Orson. He’s cute as a bug in an adorkable way, but also serious and focused, his head permanently in a book. But behind his glasses, there is a sparkle in his gorgeous eyes, and I want to get to know him.

When I manage to break through his walls, we discover we have more in common than we thought, and we become friends. I’m convinced that’s all there could ever be, but when an emergency brings us closer, the chemistry between us heats up.

But I’m a prince with all the expectations my position brings, and he’s determined to realize his own dreams, so where does that leave us? He knows my real identity, but we’re from such different worlds.

Can I really have it all? The royal life and the boy next door?

Perfect for fans of Casey McQuiston, Alexis Hall and Jax Calder!

"Prince Material" is a slow burn and not as spicy as other titles, but that's okay! There are a couple of memorable sensual scenes so the slow burn was worth the wait. I really enjoyed the storyline and getting to know our two heroes thanks to the great performances of both narrators.

5 Starz - I would listen again

I listened to this partly because I enjoyed the first book and partly because I had to hear more of the brilliant vocal talents of Charlie Klæboe Svensson. The other narrator was talented, too, but Charlie does an amazing job with the accents and voices of various characters. The book itself did not disappoint in the least, either. Very glad I’ve listened to these two books!

Amazing accents by Charlie Klæboe Svensson! Great story and dialogue

Since I haven’t read the first book of this series yet I can say that this story can be read as a stand alone. It focuses on Floris a Dutch prince who wants to live an ordinary life. He meets his new roommate Orson. On the surface you would think they wouldn’t have much in common. Orson is very driven and serious about his studies. You get to know both men as their friendship develops. At some point it starts to be more. There is a lot to consider given all the facts. I did love how Floris was so quick to be there for Orson when needed. I also love how the end of the books really gives you a chance to see how things turn out. I received an ARC of the book but ended up purchasing the audio copy. I felt the audio with dual narration was well done and made sure you knew who was telling their part of the story as you listened to the book.

Being Ordinary

Editing on the vocal is great several spots have repeated words and sentences that missed the edits on Final Cut.

Great story and performance

I made it to chapter 12 when overcome by the angst and drama so common in the genre of female authored MM romance. The characters and storyline are more authentic had they been women.

A good try
