distracting narration

The strange inflections in the narration were so distracting I could barely follow the story.

Ok story irritating narrator

Story was ok. Not as good as other books in this series. Had a hard time finishing the book due to irritating narrator voice.

narrator lets the story down

This is a well-written story, as are all of the Cold Creek College amd Sheridan Handley books, and well worth a read!
The trouble lies in the audiobook narrator. Speech impediments are not suitable for enjoyable listening, and this reader has a serious case of "mush mouth", lisping, and mispronunciation. I'd almost rather listen to Virtual Voice!

An Amateur Super Sleuth

I was as entertained by this story as much as the others in the series. I've admired Sheridan's sleuthing ability since the first book. I thought this story showcased the development of Sheridan's skills as she helped her husband with this case. I was pleased that this tale accented Sheridan's ability as a psychologist also. I thought Myriam Berger's narration was fine, but at times her voice lacked expressiveness. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

A Great “Who Done It” With Heart!

With Maddie off to college, things should be settling down for Sheridan … shouldn’t they? When a night out is interrupted by a call that a body’s been found at Birchwood Country Club … let’s just say not so much for the setting down … especially when the body belongs to a prominent senator! The suspects line forms to the right and Sheridan will need all her wits if she’s to avoid being the ne’er-do-well’s next victim! Meticulously plotted, smooth flowing, and filled with probable suspects, adorable pups. REALISTIC, fully drawn, beautifully developed characters AND heartfelt emotion, “Promises and Politics, Another Murder” is a fantastic addition to one of my favorite series’ and I LOVED it’. Did I guess the do’er? Nope, but when all was said and done, it made perfect, beautiful sense! Five fabulously entertained fantastic stars! Sheridan for the win!
