Doug Weaver is a defense attorney who always believes the best of his clients, and Jacob Cohen, on trial for murder, is no exception. Jacob may be homeless and mentally ill, but Doug can't believe that this meek and intensely religious man could have killed and dismembered a woman. Yet Bernard Cashman, a forensic expert at the Oregon State Crime Lab, finds evidence that indisputably connects Cohen with the crime.

Frustrated and confused, Doug consults Amanda Jaffe, who, with her father, Frank, is working on a case that seems completely unrelated -- gangster Art Prochaska is accused of murdering an informer. When Amanda starts looking too closely at the seemingly air-tight evidence in these two apparently unconnected cases, people start to die -- and she discovers that a madman with the power to alter the truth is on the loose.

From the author whose writing the Chicago Tribune called ""twisted and brilliant,"" Proof Positive promises all the plot twists and gasp-inducing surprises that are Margolin's undisputed trademark.

I wasn’t sure what to expect whenever I began this series. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with each new novel on how much they can stand alone BUT I recommend you listen from the beginning as you’ll enjoy each of them individually and together in order. Gotta run and grab the next one! Great listen…trust me.

Excellent series

The story switches back-and-forth from one scenario to another so often it’s a very hard storyline to follow.

Too Complicated

I generally think of Margolin as better on action that character development. Here he brings back an old character which is good for a writer who does not emphasize this aspect as you already feel you know them a little. He then goes on to add some of interesting characters. Still, there are some believability flaws and the action is what keeps you reading.

I read this book back in 2006 (9 years ago) but since I didn’t remember anything about it, it was like a free book! I rated it 2 stars back then, but this time I would give it 3.

Part legal drama & part CSI thriller, it was suspenseful and intriguing – not really a whodunit, more like a howwillhegetcaught.

This is Book 4 in a series and I am curious about other books, I went back to the start and added book 1 (Wild Justice) to my wishlist… I’m hoping it will be a good legal thriller. We’ll see!
