I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want.

Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way.

I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she's the kind of bad I deserve.

At least that's what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She's all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.

I shouldn't want her.

But I do.

I should leave her alone.

But I won't.

That accent tho

This is my favorite of the series. For reals this time. I mean it.

Poppy and Lance were so perfect together. From their ginger roots to their offset personalities. I loved that Poppy was a strong enough female to be logical about the hockey lifestyle and not get hung up on things out of their control. I loved the broken Lance and how, despite his past, he was able to open his heart again.

My heart was broken about 10 times during this book but Helena balanced it with a good dose of humor and hot as heck love scenes. I loved it.

Rose Dioro has done an amazing job narrating this series. I kinda wish all the female characters had different narrators throughout the series because I tend to compartmentalize Rose into a certain role. But that's not what we got, and I have no issues with Rose's narration. She is so amazing at giving each character their own voice.

Jacob Morgan... hmm... his voice will be the starring role in many a fantasy because he pulled off that Scottish accent perfectly. I loved it. Awesome narration dual.

You can really pull us in with these very likeable characters. It's like we known them and interact with them. You know it was a great book when you've finished it and you are still smiling.

The only problem I had was I wished it was longer...lol loved it! Great story line. Wonderful characters.
