Fall is a big deal in Briar Glen, a quaint and charming village in New England. That's when tourists from all over the country descend upon this picturesque town to see the babbling brooks and colorful leaves while sipping hot chocolate or pumpkin spice lattes.

But sixteen-year-old Lucy Kane hates the uber-popular PSL. She finds it overrated—especially when you consider the fact that there isn't even pumpkin in it!—which is bad because she works at Cup o' Jo, the local coffee shop her mom owns. Business at Cup o' Jo hasn't been great in the off-season, but that's okay because it always picks up during the fall...

Until Java Junction, a multinational coffee chain, opens across the street and makes things harder for the small shop. And to make matters worse, it turns out Jack Harper, the new kid in school and Lucy's secret crush, is the son of the owner. Suddenly, fall doesn't seem like it'll be all it's cracked up to be. Will Lucy find a way to save her mom's coffee shop?

It’s was a good book. The main character was annoying and sometimes a little cringe. I like the story though

A Cute Fall Book

Got this at as B&N $5 Starbucks book of choice and thought it looked cute. Definitely more of the young part of YA but it was a sweet book with sweet moments.

It's was cute

Really short but a very cute story . It felt like a Disney show. It would be great for middle school girls.

Such a cute psl story

Adorable quick listen on a psl story, for YA audiences. Will be finding more books from the author!

Pumpkin spice and family

I think this book was good and cute and isn’t given enough credit . Lily works with her mom at her coffee shop which is a staple in their town of Briar Glenn but when a competitor moves to their town and across the street she begins to worry . Think Gilmore girls but focus on coffee .
Lily has always had a distaste for pumpkin spice coffee as it is chemical based with nothing natural about it.
Jack is the new kid at school and he is instantly like by everyone. He is also really smart and loves books .
He also happens to be the son of the competitor .
Her first realization of that ends in an impulsive decision .

What I liked: I thought the overall story was cute and I’m not a coffee drinker so I can’t really relate to a good chunk of the story but I can’t guess. I liked the characters and how it worked with the story.

What I did not like: I found lily to be a little whinny and obsessive . The pumpkin spice latte took over the whole story and there was not much romance to it .
