Here in this short story, we have a protagonist, trying beyond hope to keep it together, while recounting the terrifying events that have led him to this undisclosed location. Left to his own devices, trapped in a steel and glass box, and writing what may well be his final words, you are dragged into the darkness of his mind.

The rising insanity, as the narrative shifts haphazardly between stifling claustrophobia and full-blown chaos, will take you on an unnerving journey where you will not only question his own hope for survival, but for the very survival of humanity itself.

This was one of the most unique and imaginative apocalyptic stories that I have ever heard. It was amazing in so many different ways. What the crisis is...how the crisis evolves...and the ending...holy cow!

The story is told from the character's point of view, which makes it more chilling. His reaction is very realistic. This is one of those stories that will stick with you.

The narrator, Terry F. Self, is one of my favorites, and he did an amazing job on this as always.

Great story, all the way around. You could turn this story into a novel, you really could.

This story gave me the creeps! But in a good way. Perfectly written, it had a tense, eerie feeling. And the narrator, Terry Self, made you feel like the character was a real person telling you his horrific, dismal story. The best narration I have heard in a long time.

Chiller!
