Blake Brier thought his days of danger and intrigue were behind him, but the past has a way of catching up.

When Blake's old friend Khat receives devastating news that his estranged daughter, Emily, has gone missing, Blake knows he must step in to help.

Emily's disappearance is shrouded in mystery, and as Blake delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of lies, deceit, and danger that stretches far beyond a simple missing person case. Partnered with his loyal team, Blake navigates the treacherous waters of a conspiracy that threatens to destroy everything he holds dear.

As they race against time to find Emily, Blake and his team must confront their own demons and rely on each other to survive. The stakes have never been higher, and the risks never greater. Will Blake be able to save Emily and bring those responsible to justice, or will the darkness consume them all?

QUARRY is a pulse-pounding thriller filled with suspense, dark twists, and relentless action. Join Blake Brier on his latest mission, and discover why some secrets are meant to stay buried.

definitely liked this story and it did end with an unexpected twist but left questions as well.

good story but leaves questions

It started off 5 stars, then I dropped it down to 3 stars due to too much time spent on Sam’s addiction. That didn’t add anything to the story. Blake was almost a minor character in this story compared to Sam. There were some holes in the story, and the logic didn’t work in a couple of places. Blake didn’t move on the info he had, Khat didn’t tell Blake what he knew, the teens didn’t tell anyone what they knew, and Blake didn’t give the police any of the leads that he found. Then there was Gabriel who knew what happened and doesn’t tell anyone but then for no discernable reason tells Blake everything at the police station. Neither one then tells the police. Communication failure all around.

Overall, 3.5 stars, but I rounded up because there were a couple of dark moments that I hadn’t expected. I didn’t like how the story ended and wonder if this is the end of the series. The team didn’t work together like they usually do which caused bad things to happen to many people. This was by far the darkest book of the series. On a happier note, I did like Jake and hope he gets his own series.

Awesome series!

I love this team but disliked the story and the ending. I doubt there will be any additional books as it appears the author is tired of the story. Scott Brick was exceptional as usual!

Disheartening
