This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.

He’s sworn off love. She’s not looking for it. But danger has a way of bringing hearts together.

Ryker:
I had everything a man could want, I thought—success, adventure, and a future laid out in front of me. But that future was shattered when my fiancée left me the day before our wedding. The sting of rejection hit harder than I’d like to admit. Now, the last thing I need is to fall for someone new, especially not my stunning and spirited country-singer neighbor.

Gabby:
Oregon has always been my sanctuary, the one place I felt safe. Inheriting my grandfather's home was a dream come true, and I was ready to embrace a quiet, happy life. But when my brooding, ex-Navy SEAL neighbor caught my eye, I realized my life might need a little more excitement—and maybe a whole lot more love.

When Gabby is suddenly kidnapped, Ryker faces a deadly mission alongside his SEAL Security team. To save her, he’ll risk it all—including his heart.

In a race against time, will they find their way back to safety—and to each other?

The storyline was good. The Ai reader was distracting. Barely read the punctuation within the story it was just run on sentences. This made it hard to know which character was talking making it hard follow the story.

Loved the story and how the characters supported each other, and of course the HEA!
The computer narration really detracts from the experience though - one part of my brain was distracted trying to make sense of mispronounced words and monotonal machine interpretation while the other part was trying to enjoy the story. It was almost like listening to a kindergartner learning to read.

PLEASE, No More Computer-Generated Narration!! Great Book, truly awful CGN

Would have been better without the automated voice. I like when I can tell the difference between the people

Good story

The book itself was not bad. Was very choppy to listen to. I did not know it was an AI read book until after I got it. Would not recomend it as an audio.

AI reader was aweful

Not sure what authors or others are thinking when they make the decision to use virtual voice, but STOP IT! The story was good but I won’t be listening to the rest of the series because I can’t stand the VV. I don’t have time to sit and read so I do the audio versions. If you want your books to sell, use a human narrator that can add life to your characters.
